I have taught a wide variety of courses in higher education, including history, anthropology, political science, sociology, psychology, education, conflict resolution, peace and war studies and Latin America. I have studied in Brazil and Mexico and have experience with Central America, Europe and many parts of South America. I have focused on the Iberian foundations of many American cultural patterns of diverse epistemologies, Arabic numerals, time signatures of music, linguistic foundations of Brazilian Portuguese and Mexican Spanish, but especially the invention of the university, knowledge bases and institutions of higher education. Political and economic relationships to education are demonstrated cross-culturally and historically.
